Wow. I didn’t want that to stop. Have you ever seen “The Wizard of Speed and Time”? It’s like Tony and Paul’s big brother, and an underappreciated film CLASSIC.
Actually, Japan with its supernaturally amazing VHS selection (at least in Tokyo…) would be an even better bet than here in the States now that the reign of the DVD is nearly complete. It’s one of the many I wish I’d just stolen years ago, knowing that no one else would have ever rented it anyway. The list is so long… sniff… Seriously, though, I’d check around your area. It looks like you can no longer buy the video online anywhere, and the guy’s website (just got the link from YouTube) is pathetic in its cheerful optimism, trying desperately to glean extra income from old Kelly Freas WoSaT posters until corporate Hollywood gives him his movie back. I want to give him a hug. He’s also trying REALLY hard to get married. It’s worth a look: http://www.wizworld.com
For another, much more accessible, stop-motion masterpiece, check out “The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb”. Another one of my sleeper faves.

No, I’ve heard of it quite a few times, but never seen it. Know anywhere online where I could catch it?

Ah-h, VHS
So clunky, yet so child-proof
