Where Is Evil?
March 2nd, 2007There are a few places where evil is set in science fiction/fantasy:
- An evil land
- A tower of evil
- An underworld of evil deep in the catacombs/sewers
- The top of a giant city, which seems to be good, but is actually evil
Which leaves one crucially underrepresented geographical distribution:
- The middle
So if you’re looking for an idea of where to put all the evil in your next novel, how about one of those hiveworld type city-planets, but where the evil isn’t at the top or the bottom, but just a big layer of evil in the middle, with good above and below? An evil sandwhich, as it were.
